Giant Cell Tumors features

  1. common, benign lesion
  2. usually occur after growth plate has closed (20 - 50 y)
  3. typical geographic lytic lesion at the end of a long bone without margin sclerosis (1B)
  4. originates in metaphysis, extend to epiphysis and subchondral space
  5. most common sites: about the knee, distal radius or ulna, sacrum or vertebral body
