What is the influence of chemical weathering on climate?

Chemical weathering reduces CO2: Water and CO2 form carbonic acid

Runoff carries dissolved minerals into the oceans, where they are kept as sediments for a long time, or they are used by organisms to build shells, which again releases CO2. However, 2 molecules are needed for weathering of silicate rocks, while only 1 molecule is released by organisms, however the other molecule will be released e.g. through volcanic eruption
