2.1 Rotate initial solution for proper interpretation

--> You can do that analyzing the “Rotated component matrix”
 
  • Rotation Methods: Orthogonal vs. Oblique

  • In this course only Orthogonal Rotation: VARIMAX

    1. Assumes no correlation among factors

    2. Minimizes the number of items with high loadings on each factor --> improves interpretation of factors

    3. Maximizes the squared factor loadings for each factor --> differentiates original items according to extracted factors
