Name and explain the different dimensions concerning the teaching of literature and film by Lütge 2018

1) motivational-affective
-> personal involvement (emotional and individual reactions) of learners can be motivating, learners imagination and personal responses serve a good basis for creative tasks
2) dimension of language learning and competence development
-> literature provides extensive and authentic input, which helps to develop reading competence, film literacy, oral and written skills and critical abilities concerning text reception and production.
3) aesthetic and formal dimension
-> aesthetically satisfying/challenging, therefore memorable. Learners learn about aesthetics, formal characteristics and the relations between those and enjoyment.
4) cultural dimension
-> perspective changes, stories about different people and cultures, representation of cultural topics and connection of literary and inter- and transcultural learning
