Virgo

Ruler:  Mercury           
Mercury’s connection to Virgo arises from the propensity of both to develop rational systems of organising and collating data. This can indicate the organised mind, but also the toobusy mind which focuses overly on details, and which fails to grasp the wider significance and meaning of what is being studied.

Detriment:  Jupiter    
Jupiter in Virgo can describe an individual who takes on too much and similarly becomes overwhelmed by details. On the other hand, a sense of meaning can be found in the humble everyday tasks of life and there can be the skill to manage a huge amount of work or activity.

Fall:  Venus    
With Venus being the planet of relationship, the capacity of Virgo for self-containment may create an inherent challenge – similarly Virgo’s modesty and discrimination may impact on the Venusian expression of beauty or indulgence. However, the individual will find their own aesthetic style, perhaps taking pleasure in the harmony created by order and in things that are well-crafted, and may well have a skill at emotional self sufficiency.
